AI Transparency

Bimizi B.V.

This statement explains how Bimizi uses artificial intelligence (AI), in line with the transparency obligations set out in Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act). It is intended for users of the platform, for prospective customers carrying out AI-vendor due diligence, and for any other interested reader.

1. What AI we use

Bimizi relies on machine-learning models to read construction drawings (PDF, DWG, IFC, CAD) and extract structured measurements: detected surfaces, building elements, dimensions, and quantities. The AI does not author the final quote on its own — it provides the measured inputs that feed your priced quotation.

2. What the AI does — and does not — decide

The AI proposes measurements; you confirm them. The AI does not set prices, choose materials, or send a quotation to your client autonomously. Every quotation is reviewed and issued by a human user on your team. The AI is a measuring and structuring tool — your professional judgement remains the final authority.

You can correct any AI-extracted measurement before it enters your quote. We recommend that you do so on every project, especially on the first quote you produce for a new drawing type.

3. Human oversight

No quotation is sent to a customer without explicit human action. The platform requires you to review the extracted measurements, confirm pricing, and click to issue the quote. There is no autopilot mode, no automated outbound quoting, and no AI-only decisions affecting your customers.

4. Data used to train and improve the AI

Our models are trained on anonymised construction drawings and on public reference data. We do not use your project data to train shared models without your explicit, written consent. For details on how customer data is processed, please see our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Agreement.

5. Limitations and known errors

AI systems make mistakes. Known limitations include: illegible scans or low-resolution drawings; unusual or proprietary symbols not present in our training data; overlapping or ambiguous geometry; and non-standard layer naming in CAD files. When you encounter a misread, please review it manually and, where possible, report it to us so we can improve future versions.

6. Contact

If you have questions about the operation, limitations, or governance of the AI used by this platform — including requests related to Article 50 of the EU AI Act — please contact us at hello@bimizi.com.
